US Veteran Administration – Bronx Military Hospital

At the Bronx Military Hospital, J&J Mechanical executed a comprehensive renovation of the HVAC system, significantly improving both energy efficiency and patient comfort.

Key components of the project included supplying, installing, testing, and commissioning of the main Operating Rooms HVAC system, encompassing components such as Air Handling Units (AHU), Chillers, Ductwork, Piping, Electrical, and Controls. We also integrated a new HVAC system for the MRI unit, complete with a state-of-the-art Building Management System (BMS) provided by Johnson Controls.

The project also saw the installation and commissioning of Absorption Chillers, incorporating all steam, chilled, and condenser water. In a quest for optimal efficiency, we replaced existing cooling towers with new ones from Johnson Controls. Importantly, all changes to the Operation Room HVAC system were conducted seamlessly, without causing any interruption to sensitive operations.
