US Veteran Administration – Brooklyn Military Hospital

At the U.S. Veteran Administration’s Brooklyn Military Hospital, J&J Mechanical is currently overseeing a substantial renovation and maintenance initiative for key HVAC components. This ongoing project encompasses a range of upgrades including new Air Handling Units (AHUs), Variable Air Volume (VAV) units, Fan Coil Units (FCUs), radiators, ductwork, and piping. As part of our commitment to safety and compliance, we’ve installed a seismic restraint system to safeguard the mechanical systems from potential earthquake damage.

A significant part of our work includes the design and installation of a self-contained 100% Outside Air (O/A) HVAC system and a new AC system for the MRI unit. We’ve also replaced the ductwork and exhaust systems for isolation rooms in line with OSHA regulations. Lastly, in the executive offices, we replaced two 50-ton air handlers, the perimeter heating system, and implemented state-of-the-art Siemens controls. These enhancements underscore our commitment to providing tailored, high-quality solutions that comply with stringent government standards for healthcare facilities.
